After success of the 90s romance drama, Yeh Un Dino ki Baat Hai, SonyTV is back with another romance story for Indian audiences, with a twist. Set in Rajasthan, Rishta Likhenge Hum Naya serial on Sony TV, a new love story, has a female protagonists who promises to protect her prince. After Sony’s attempt to give a similar story in Pehredaar Piya Ki ended in a debacle, the new series promises something similar with an adult couple.

Rishta Likhenge Hum Naya serial story revolves around Diya and Ratan. After the King of Kesar Mahal Hukum Mansingh is attacked and injured, he finds out about a conspiracy and threat from within. With the prince still young and unable, he gives the responsibility of watching over the yound prince and the estate to Diya, who promises to protect the estate from all enemies.
Now, with prince Ratan beginning to understand the responsibility he has toward the estate and the sacrifice that Diya made for him and the estate, he begins to fall in love with Diya. But will the world accept their relationship?
