Strike Back Season 5 Plot
Omair Idrisi, the man behind some of the worst terrorist attacks on the West, is freed during a jailbreak, masterminded by his British wife, Jane Lowry. Enter Colonel Adeena Donovan (Nina Sosanya). She needs this mess cleared up. She needs Omair Idrisi and Jane Lowry tracked down before whatever plan they’re preparing can be put into effect. She needs to resurrect Section 20. Covert military intelligence and counter terrorism, high-risk targets.
Donovan wants Sergeant McAllister (Warren Brown) in the ranks. He was overseeing Idrisi when the jailbreak took place, and his squad was wiped out in the attack. He’s skilled, experienced, and he wants revenge on Idrisi. McAllister’s first task is to extract an American special ops solider – Sergeant Samuel Wyatt (Daniel MacPherson) – from the clutches of a rogue Libyan
general. Except Wyatt isn’t especially happy to see McAllister and even less happy to join Section 20 and share his intel on Idrisi.
They’ll need to be rescued in turn by Lance Corporal Gracie Novin (Alin Sumarwata) – an Australian Iranian from Special Operations Command – and alongside Captain Natalie Reynolds (Roxanne McKee) they follow a trail through exclusive high-society parties, arrogant Saudi princes and a daring rescue of an immoral arms dealer from a war-zone, all the way to a compound where Omair Idrisi and Jane Lowry are planning an act of terrorism that would change the face of Europe forever.
They take down and kill Idrisi but Jane escapes into the night. She’s even more determined to carry out the plan now that her husband is gone. This will be her tribute and her revenge.
So why has she been spotted talking to a far-right extremist group in Hungary? Why is a British jihadist working in league with a terrorist group at the opposite end of the spectrum? In order to track down Jane and find out what she’s planning, the team – McAllister, Wyatt, Reynolds and Novin – cross the Middle East and Europe, plunged into a world of mixed martial arts fighting, right-wing agitators, Eastern European drug lords, secretive Russian FSB agents, the post-fallout world of Chernobyl and a trail that leads back into the past of British Military Intelligence itself and a secret that’s been hidden for years.
Then they discover something even more shocking. Omair Idrisi might not be dead after all.
