Four years on, one of UK’s highest rated dramas is back for its third and final installment. Over the years, the Drama series has enthralled viewers across Europe and America with millions of fans and adapted into other series in France (Malaterss, France 2) and USA (Gracepoint, Fox). Broadchurch Season 3 will make its debut on BBC America in June 2017 with DI Alec Hardy and DS Ellie Miller on a new case.

Broadchurch Season 3 Synopsis
The latimer case had drained both DI Hardy and DS Miller. DI Alec Hardy has returned to Broadchurch CID, after some time away. When a local woman is sexually assaulted, he makes it his mission to find out who is responsible. Ont he other hand, DS Ellie Miller, a single mum, has rebuilt her life after Joe Miller was found ‘not guilty’ by a jury for the murder of Danny Latimer – a crime that he is unequivocally guilty of.
In Season 3, there is a bold new crime story which forces us to ask whether the town has a crack running through it caused by Danny Latimer’s death. Trish WInterman is sexually assulted and we are forced to question if this new crime somehow the long-term legacy of that dark moment? The central characters must contend with this possibility as they battle to make hope, friendship and love triumph over fear and suspicion, as a host of new suspects present themselves.
Broadchurch Season 3 begins when Ellie and Hardy are called out to attend to a woman who has reported a serious sexual assault. They take the woman – Trish Winterman – to the SARC (Sexual Assault Referral Centre) where she is examined. There’s no doubt she’s been raped – but where, and when, and by whom? Working on a clue found at Trish’s house, Hardy and Ellie discover the crime scene and call in SOCO to gather evidence. But it is an unusual and difficult crime scene.
The initial forensics report confirms Hardy and Ellie’s earlier suspicions – this was not an opportunistic attack, it was planned. Hardy concludes that they have a serious sexual predator at large in the town, someone who may strike again.
