Popular show Diya Aur Baati Hum team is back and the fans will love this sequel of the popular Hindi TV serial. Tu Sooraj Main Sanjh Piyaji serial takes the story of Sooraj Rathi forward and takes a 20 year leap. However, Anas Rashid will not be playing the role of Sooraj in this new serial. Although the sequel focuses on Rathi family, it will be about the children of Sooraj Rathi – Ved, Vansh, and Kanak.

Tu Sooraj main Sanjh Piyaji serial comes with a fresh cast as the next generation takes the stage. However, Neelu Vaghela is still strong as Bhabho and doesn’t look too happy with Kanak. The show is made by Shahi and Sumeet Mittal who are also at the help of Dil Se Dil Tak serial on Colors TV. The serial will be a part of the new initiative by the network called Star Plus Dopahar.

The story moves forward 20 years from where Diya Aur Baati Hum ended. Bhabho’s son Sooraj Rathi and his wife Sandhya Rathi are both dead. The three children, Ved, Vansh, and Kanak now live with their Bhabho, who seems to be the head of the family now. Umashankar, an Army officer will be the male lead in the serial.
The woman-centric story of Diya Aur Baati Hum and Sandhya’s struggle to become an IPS officer will be replicated in this second installment too. So the audiences can expect a similar family drama with realistic family problems and arguments from the new serial.
