And with movie makers deciding that they will release the original Sound Track (OST) of the movie, it is obvious that the movie has gained huge popularity for its dialogues. Raees songs too have generated a lot of buzz, and is easily one of the best music albums released so far this year. Raees has released three songs so far and you can say that these would be the best tracks in the movie. The music is composed by Ram Sampath. Ram Sampath’s last album Raman Raghav 2.o was a moderate hit with Behuda making to people’s playlist. But as compared to Rock music style of Raman Raghav 2.0, Raees songs seem to bank on traditional Bollywood style and melodies.

Raees Music Review
2016 came with many remixes with most being a poor recreation of the original. However, Ram Sampath got the Laila Main Laila right on spot. Here’s our Raees music review. The first track to release from the movie earned instant fans and zoomed up the charts. With an interesting intro to additional percussion instruments, the song takes the energy of the original a notch up and can get the most reluctant listeners get tapping their feet. Pawni Pandey keeps the feel of the original sung by Kanchan intact with her voice. The song could have done without the chorus interludes though.
Udi Udi Jaye captures the flavor of Gujarat with traditional music rhythms and lyrics that capture Sankranti kite flying fervor in the state. The song has the potential to make it to the 2017 Dandiya playlist. Zaalima is catchy romantic song sung by Arijit Singh. Arijit gets to sing something other than his regular song format. He does well to adapt the vocals and you can see SRK singing in this voice. Although catchy, the song doesn’t look like it will win a place on Romantic songs playlists.
Raees theme or Enu Naam Che Raees reminds you of the theme song like ‘Main hoon Don’ is once again bland and is neither hummable nor something that will capture your attention like Qatl- E-Aam that Ram Sampath did for Raman Raghav 2.0.
