The movie sees many debut actors like Sandeep who is cast as Vangaveeti movie hero and an intense background score. Although the illustrious director’s previous releases – Attak and Veerappan – didn’t do too well at the box office in 2016, Vangaveeti movie looks right up his alley and should get good response from the audience. Vangaveeti Movie Story
It all began with the struggle to control business and power over Vijayawada in the early 70s. The murder of Communist Party of India secretary of Vijayawada – allegedly by Ranga’s brother – sparked a political war that lead to murder of Vangaveeti Mohan Ranga and later his brother. After some years, Ranga once again fomented trouble based on caste to extended his reign in the area. The resulting bloodbath lead to a 40-day curfew in the backdrop of political gang war.
The movie takes you behind this senseless violence and dynamic political alignments and rivalries. A master of Crime and gang war movies, Ram Gopal Varma gives his fans another crime thriller that should not be missed.
Vangaveeti Movie Review
RGV is playing to his strength in this movie and you can see that in the way it is executed. The director introduces that characters early on, but the focus remains on Ranga in the initial parts. The movie has enough pace to keep you interested in the onscreen proceedings as it approached half-time.
With perfectly timed assassinations, and multiple characters plotting against each other, the audiences are kept on the edge of their seats. RGVs prowess to show gang violence remains the highlight of the second part of the movie. Sandeep delivers an intense performance and lives the character on screen.
If violence and crime is not your thing, this is not the Drama that you will want. But if you are a fan of movies like Satya and Crime genre, you the movie will give you enough to enjoy the two plus hours at the cinemas.
