YZ Movie Music Review: Marathi Music Reviews

YZ is a coming of age romantic drama scheduled to release on 12th August 2016. Antara an 18-year-old based in Pune crosses paths with a 32-year-old Gajanan. Trapped in a limbo and not able to transition from being a young adult to a man, Gajanan is battling to make sense of where his life is leading. That, and, of course, also trapped between Generation-Y and Generation-Z.

The movie shows how a little confidence and self-belief can do wonders for a person with an identity crisis.  The movie has a mix of established actors like Sai Tamhankar and Mukta Barve along with some young faces. Checkout our YZ Movie music review and tell us what you think.

YZ Movie Music Review

The album begins with devotional track Are Krishna, which fits into the usual Bhajan rhythm category with a bit of folksy touch. Adarsh Shinde changes the mood with a bit of rustic-urban track in O Kaka. The track is ripe for the upcoming Ganpati Festival and I won't be surprised to see it play loud at the small mandals. Niramay begins with an inviting intro, but the song doesn't carry forward the same mood and the shouting will turn-off even the most ardent fans of Marathi music. Priyakara is much more melodious. Using Sanskrit feels like you are chanting rather than singing a romantic song, though. Mich Maja Vyalo is mishmash of various instruments and rhythms for different category of songs and doesn't inspire much. MovieRecipe Verdict: Not the kind of music that you will put on your playlist or come back to again and again. MovieRecipe Pick: Are Krishna https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N6RGySwPMGw
