Kabai couldn't unseat Salman Khan but it is right up there in terms of popularity. Star Power and fandom is obviously the reason why these two have set themselves apart from other movies released in 2016 in Bollywood. Their popularity in the digital world outshines the rest by almost 300 percent.
Kabali is the story of Kabaleeswaran, a Malaysian Tamil who fight for his and his people's rights but soon becomes a gangster and enemy of the state. he must also battle it out with his one-time friends and rival gangs to keep himself and his family safe.Udta Punjab
Udta Punjab received rave reviews from critics. People were most impressed by the topic the movies has chosen - drug abuse problem in Punjab. The movie follows the life of three starkly different people. A star pop star, a police officer, and a migrant laborer - all affected by the drug trade.Housefull 3
Housefull 3 is a forgettable comedy, but it did make it to on of the most popular movies of the year. The movie is about three daughters of a wealthy businessman living in London. The businessman does not want his daughters to marry, and tells them a bogus story about a curse.
Fun begins when their boyfriends decide to work around the curse by imitating different disabilities. The movie got a lot of flak from critics for making fun of people with disabilities and trivializing the issue. Airlift
This is not only just one of the poplar movies of 2016, but also one of the good ones. The movies is based on a true incident in the 90s when Kuwait was invaded by Iraq.
The movie tells the story of a wealthy Indian businessman and his efforts, along with his friends, to get himself and his staff out of the war zone.
