With 15 tracks Fever movie has to be about music or a singer’s biography, but it isn’t. Arijit Singh sings a couple of songs and there are a few Kakkars doing most of the other songs in the album.
On the lines of Bourne Identity, the protagonist of Fever has lost his memory and is a contract killer. The only thing is here the protagonist knows his name and is helped by a woman to find who he is.
Fever Music Review
Fever album is easily one of the best albums to come out in 2016. You can definitely feel the ethereal quality of Ranjit Barot’s music in most of the tracks. With 15 tracks and one hour of music, the album is still worth putting it on your music shelf.

The album opens with Arijit Singh’s Bas Ek Bar which he sings in his usual style. The use of Violin in Rock is rare in India. This use of Violin gives the track a new feel, although it may a bit jarring to some. The album has a overall Rock Music feel, which is dominating the Bollywood music hall for most of this and earlier decade.
Rahul Jain has a good voice that fits into this whole new genre of Bollywood music. Although he sings Teri Yaad very well, partly in Rahat Fateh Ali Khan brand of singing, the music and the vocals seem out of sync. Its western style composition will impress those who like listening to English songs.
Mujhme Kabhi begins with slow beats Shalmali Kholgade’s sultry voice inviting you into the song. The short track is sung in Jazz style and tempo builds slightly toward the end but keeps the mood of the song intact.
Mile Ho Tum (Reprise) sung by Neha and Tony Kakkar is a winner. With smooth vocals, and rhyming lyrics the song is melodious and has the potential to go on the Repeat. Use of lower three guitar strings give the song the intensity that the vocals defy. The other version of the song sung by Tony Kakkar is equally good. Slightly faster than the Reprise version, this one uses the violin intermittently as the presence of strings is toned down.
Alisha Pais and Alisha Baith sing an upbeat song Nahi Nahi – with a catchy beat rhythm. This kind of runs like the Mujhme Kabhi. It feels like Fever soundtrack with mainly three different moods. There are a few melodious tracks, then there a couple that fit right into jazz or club songs category and then there are those that fit into what I will call Bollywood Rock. Each mood seems to follow the women on the movie cover.
You wouldn’t miss much if you gloss over Besambhle, or Look Look. Though the Unplugged version of Teri Yaad will interest Rahat Ali fans. The use of acoustic guitar gels well with the high pitched vocals and make it one of the good songs in the album.
I have no hesitation to say that Fever is good album and worth adding to your music library. It has everything in it. A couple of upbeat songs, some fast paced, but mostly melodious. You won’t finds yourself tuning of the radio or switching the channel when these are playing. With good lyrics, you won’t mind listening to these songs multiple times.
As against other music albums reviewed here recently, it is very difficult to pick songs here. None of the songs really put you off except Besambhle and Look Look.

Mile Ho Tum Humko Lyrics
Mile ho tum humko, Bade naseebon se
Churaya hai maine, Kismat ki lakeeron se (x2)
Teri mohabbat se saanse mili hai
Sada rehna dil mein kareeb hoke
Mile ho tum humko, Bade naseebon se
Churaya hai maine, Kismat ki lakeeron se (x2)
Teri chahaton mein kitna tadpe hain,
Sawan bhi kitne tujh bin barse hain;
Zindagi me meri sari jo bhi kami thi,
Tere aa jaane se ab nahi rahi;
Sada hi rehna tum, Mere kareeb ho ke,
Churaya hai maine, Kismat ki lakeeron se;
Baahon mein teri ab yaara jannat hai,
Maangi khuda se tu wo mannat hai;
Teri wafa ka sahara mila hai,
Teri hi vajah se ab main zinda hoon;
Teri mohabbat se zara ameer hoke,
Churaya hai maine kismat ki lakeero se;
Mile ho tum humko, Bade naseebon se
Churaya hai maine, Kismat ki lakeeron se
Teri mohabbat se saanse mili hai
Sada rehna dil mein kareeb hoke.
Teri Yaad Lyrics
Saanwali si raat aayegi,
Madhoshi mein yeh raat jaayegi;
Teri yaad aayegi, Teri yaad aayegi;
Tasveeron mein, Tujhko dhoondh laayenge,
Chehra jo na mile, Toh hum mar jaayenge,
Marke bhi teri aankhon se, behte jaayenge,
Jo aaye phir iss duniya mein, Teri duniya mein phir aayenge;
Teri yaad aayegi, Teri yaad aayegi;
Andheri raaton mein socha tujhe, (x2)
Khwabon mein,
Yaadon mein,
Jazbaaton mein;
Teri yaad aayegi;
Dil huaa dafan, Jal gaya kafan
Milke na mila kyun, Bata de wajah;
Hum toh tham gaye, Gham mein rum gaye,
Tu milega kahaan, Bas bata de jagah;
Kyun chhod gaye, Meri baahon mein phir aa zara,
Toota har vaham, Ab raahon mein bikhra pada;
Teri yaad, yaad, Teri yaad, yaad;
Saanwali si raat aayegi,
Madhoshi mein yeh raat jaayegi.
