Indian subcontinent has a rich and vibrant history. There are thousands of stories buried deep in this centuries old land. However, we see very few movies exploiting this rich history. Mohenjo Daro makes an attempt to use this angle and look inside the one of the oldest civilizations on Earth. Can it deliver the goods remains to be seen. Dubbed as Adventure-Romance, the trailer didn’t inspire much and the movie seems to fall back on old story in a new wrapping. The few glimpses that we did get unmistakably remind of 10,000 BC.
Maybe the movie will have much more to offer than that. As I said the Hrithik Roshan Starrer is a old wine in a new bottle. Sarman falls in love with Chaani, the daughter of his enemy.

Mohenjo Daro Music Review
With A. R. Rahman as the composer you can expect something new and different. What I always like about Rahman’s music is that he captures the tone and setting of the movie. The tracks of the movie seem to, therefore, rest on traditional drums and flute. Lagaan’s music had this basic feel all through its tracks, which was very different than what he composed for Rang de Basanti.
My experiene is that Rhaman’s songs grow on you and I have rarely liked most of them at first. The title track sung by multiple artists is heavy on percussion but not a number that you would play at a party or in solitude.
Sindhu Ma, sung by Rahman, has a New Age, Enigma style feel to it but lacks melody. Sarsariya is melodious and ShaShaa Tirupati lends a energetic yet sensual voice to the track.
The Shimmer of Sindhu feels very similar to some other track, but I can’t place it right now. The guitar introduction is good and suck you into the instrumental track.
While these tracks may be technically flawless, the melody is missing in most and therefore are not really hummable. Percussion seems to be the dominant sound in all tracks and fans of Sivmani will love the soundtrack.

Tu Hai Lyrics
Tu hai, mera ye sansaar sara,
Main aur mera pyar sara,
tere hi liye;
Tu hai, hai jag mein rang jaise
Rutt mein hai tarang jaise,
Tu hai toh . . . tu hai toh . . .
Gagan gagan lehar lehar Bahe ye chandni,
Oo.. Dhara pe jaagi jyoti hai teri;
Han nayan nayan khuli Hui hai kaamana koi,
Nahi nahi koi tujhsa hai hi nahi;
Tu hai, mera ye sansaar sara,
Main aur mera pyar sara,
tere hi liye;
Chalte chalte kisi dagar mein,
Jaise achanak modh aata hai;
Yun hi koi ek hi pal mein,
Sab kuch piche chod aata hai;
Chan kanjkara mera mann banjara tu mere,
Prem bhari dhun mere mann ki jo sun jhoome re;
Pass aake bhi tu maun hai tu,
Yeh to keh de meri kaun hai tu;
Bolte hain nayan maun hoon main,
Apne naino se sun Kaun hoon main;
Tu hai mera ye sansaar sara,
Main aur mera pyar sara,
tere hi liye.
Sar Sarsariya Lyrics
Ye sarsaraati hawa, Jaaye chaaron disha,
Aise hi mukt man mera bhi ho gaya,
Ye hawa, sar sarsariya, sar sarsariya;
Kyu na lehrake main bhi,Disha disha nagar nagar jaun;
Khila khila sa jo Mera ye man hai,
Khila khila sa jo Mera ye tan hai;
Jo rang rang hai mere sapne,
To sab rang hi laage apne;
Jo rut koi chayi toh cha jaane de,
Jo aayi angdaai toh aa jaane de;
Hawaein jo bataein wohi maan le,
Tu man ki satrangi hai ye jaan le;
Ye sarsraati hawa, jaaye chaaron disha,
Aise hi mukt man mera bhi ho gaya;
Ye hawa, sar sarsariya, sar sarsariya,
Kyu na lehrake main bhi, disha disha nagar nagar jaaun;
Laage ke abhi tu hai anjaani,
Jagat mein jitna Bhi hai paani;
Hai prem utna Mere man mein,
Tu hi toh basi hai mere jeevan mein;
Teri baani mere man mein samaati toh hai,
Teri baat mujhe sapne dikhati toh hai;
Tujhe jo dekhu badhti ye dhadkan toh hai,
Huyi meethi meethi si man mein uljhan toh hai;
Ye sarsraati hawa jaaye chaaron disha,
Aise hi mukt man mera bhi ho gaya;
Ye hawa, sar sarsariya, sar sarsariya,
Kyu na lehrake main bhi, disha disha nagar nagar jaaun.
