As you enter Conrad, Pune, the first thing you will notice is the tall ceiling that gives the property an airy and spacious feel, which compensates for the rectangular strip it stands on. Contemporary interiors with shades of purple and gold give it the feel of luxury, along with a huge lounging area with ample, comfortable sofas strewn around.

The seating at the restaurant is a mix of big booths and small tables. The dim lighting gives a good sense of privacy and seclusion from the outside world. The guests can look into the glass partitioned kitchen, which adds another dimension to the dining experience.

The restaurant also offers some unique ice cream flavors, all made in-house. The Madras Filter Coffee Ice Cream is a must-try and a perfect finish if you prefer to finish your meals with coffee instead of a paan.

Yes, Paan. The traditional Indian betel nut leaf stuffed with sweet condiments. At Zeera, you can finish your meal with the Paan ice cream. Al the flavors of a Masala Paan have been carefully mixed in the ice cream and topped with the traditional condiments to give you the crunch of fennel seeds and flavor of rose petals.

Koji, the Asian restaurant offers food from Japan as well as other Asian countries. You can order the more mundane Sweet Corn Soup or try something new with Miso Shiro. The restaurant has a huge range of Dimsums and pot stickers that you won’t be able to exhaust for a long time. The restaurant also offers a range of Japanese Whiskies and Sake.

The restaurant has a huge menu: from local Maharashtrian menu that serves up dishes that you will not find in most luxury hotels, to the more trendy and international offerings like the fabulous and fresh Burrata Salad.

It is a delight to talk to chef Mandar Madav as he interacts with his guests and takes care that they get what they are looking for. You can order off the a la carte menu, or indulge in a lavish buffet, priced approximately Rs. 1250 inclusive of taxes.
You will see tall shelves showcasing desserts and various other dishes in sample sizes along the wall. Chef calls this as his food library and insists that guests try a few from the library. You can sample these and then order what you like most from the menu.

The buffet is thoughtfully curated to give the guests a taste of world and India. Zeera is limited to North Indian cuisine. But Coriander Kitchen gives guests an opportunity to explore other, regional Indian dishes. You may find a lesser known Amboli and Komdi Rassa from Malwan-Konakan area or Maharashtra or a Portuguese influenced Lamb Vindaloo on the buffet every now and then.
For those who want to strictly stick to International food choices, the fresh, soft Pita bread is definitely not something you should miss. The buffet also has multiple live stations where you can choose the toppings of your choice and get a Pasta or a Pizza with choice of your toppings.

If you are ordering from the menu, the thin crust pizzas are surely something you will want to try. The mutton Kheema pizza was a twist on my favorite Lamb Bolognese pizza and was topped with fresh white butter.

Conrad, Pune offers loads of choices for food lovers in Pune and is the latest addition to explore the flavors from Asia to the Mediterranean. And there are enough desserts that you can lunch on these. From fresh waffles made to order to various cakes and sugar-free Panna Cotta.
