Hard Rock Cafe, Pune: Summer of the Legends is Back

The go-to destination for rock music lovers in Pune, Hard Rock Cafe, is back with its Summer of the Legends month. I remember what fun we had last time, when Hard Rock Cafe hosted a Mojito mixing competition for bloggers. Summer and Rum – these words conjure up the image of a frosted glass with a cool, fruity drink in a slightly humid weather along with gentle, balmy winds on a beach or next to a pool.

Well, you don’t have a beach here, but you can have the rest, along with some great music and shows from upcoming Indian Rock Bands. This week, we will also have LiveWire paying tribute to Pink Floyd as part of the Summer of the Legends month.

The carefully crafted Summer of the Legends menu also offers some new and some most-loved drinks and food options, during this month.

The drinks menu offers a range of Rum based mojitos for those who cannot do without mojitos. I will suggest that you try the Green Apple Mojito. The fruity drink is strong on the Green Apple flavor along with muddled mint and lemon that balances the sweet taste of the fruit.

For the more adventurous, they have a new drink that mixes flavors of Dill and Malta Oranges. If the Dill flavor worries you, be assured that it is very subtle, but will be a nice change from the mint flavor.

The food menu, as promised, has the favorite Hard Rock Cafe dishes of your rock stars. There is a new Shrimp appetizer that is a must-try.

The fleshy, medium-sized Shrimps are marinated in a smoked spice mix. You can taste the spices not only in the panko cover, but to the center as you bite into the shrimp. This was served with a new Mauvi sauce which was a perfect blend of sweet, tangy and hot.

The menu features the regular, spicy Red Rod fries and the LA Confidential Burger for the vegetarians. But there is also a new Chicken Shawarma roll on the menu, if you are in the mood for some Lebanese food. The roll is served with potato wedges and some mayo based garlic sauce. Unlike some other Shawarma rolls, the Shawarma roll at Hard Rock Cafe, Pune is not soggy. There is lettuce and veggies, but the Sumac spiced chicken is the highlight in this dish.
