Morning Rituals: Turning Good to Gold

Friday is the best day of the week, but it is also the worst. Why? By the time Friday dawns, I am like,  you are there buddy, just hang in, another day and you will have your break! I am sure there are many who are thinking this on a Friday morning.

And it gets worst in Winters. Today, was no different. There was a slight nip in the air today. The thin layer of clouds blocked the sunlight and conspired early n the morning to keep you in that bed under the warm blanket. But then, Sun waits for no one, and neither does the world.

I had to literally drag myself out of the bed as I put one heavy foot ahead of the other trying to remember what day of the week it was. I am really bad with dates and most of the time don’t have any idea of what day or date it is. I resolved to fix it this year and have put up a calendar on my bathroom wall just as a reminder. Friday always brings a cheer early in the morning. Friday is really a good morning :). Just a few more hours and then I have time to go back to my little garden for the weekend.

Gardening is such a rewarding activity. I guess it is one of the most difficult of hobbies as you need to plan and care for your garden all through the year. It teaches you perseverance and patience and rewards you with sweet fruits. I love spending time in my little garden and tend to the trees hoping to see the them flourish.

Sipping on a hot, strong Ginger flavored tea is something of a ritual in winters. A cold hazy morning makes this ritual all the more enjoyable. The crisp, clean early morning winter air fills your lungs and the world around you is suddenly clean and full of energy.

So how do you use these favorable factors and turn your good morning into pure gold? By going for a run. Slide in your shoes, put on a hoodie and off you go. Make a short sprint, let that crisp winter air fill your lungs and pump your body and brain with oxygen. It will give you the much needed boost to finish the last day of the week full of energy and set you up or an amazing weekend. Now that’s my #Colgate360GoldMornings recipe, what’s your?
