Lord Savage comes with a warning of explicit content and certainly lives up to it. Fans of the ‘temptation’ series will love this book. The plot or story is predictable enough, but it is what goes in between (er, pun intended?) that will keep you awake at night!
Evelyn Hart is an American heiress. Even the Astors and Vanderbilts don’t dare ignore her. She has been cosseted all her life, first by her father, and then by a husband who is almost 50 years older. Recently widowed, she is fascinated by the thought of being an independent cosmopolitan woman. So she packs a few bags and crosses the water over to London. Savage is an Earl who is notoriously well endowed and knows how to please the ladies. At a fancy ball, Evelyn hears some grunts and is shocked to come upon a man humping a woman in plain sight in the garden. The man is none other than Lord Savage, and Evelyn is mesmerized by the sight of his assets.
Her hostess realizes this and invites her to a week in the country. Evelyn comes upon a scene or scenes she never imagined. A bunch of peers and rich people have gathered to play The Game. There is a Protector and an Innocent. The Innocents are supposed to do anything the Protector demands. Seduction is in the air, and around. Wild orgies are the norm, and every Innocent is up for grabs. But Evelyn has eyes only for Savage. Savage manages to snag Evelyn and then begins her education – an initiation into the world of sensual pleasures. I can’t say that Evelyn’s or Eve’s fantasies are realized, because she does things she never knew were possible. But your fantasies are sure to be!
As the week progresses, Eve and Savage unwittingly come closer, not just physically. But The Game demands something else.
Mia Gabriel pours life into the pages, and I guarantee that the various exploits of the characters will make your pulse race, and your heart beat wilder. We all want a Lord Savage in our lives. And if we don’t have one, he can always be found, and found again, in the pages of this sizzling hot romance.
