The world today is a much more dangerous place than it was a century ago. Governments are constantly in a state of war, trying to protect their country from emerging threats from different corners. And while diplomacy and threat of on-ground forces win arguments against government, the non-state actors present a bigger threat. Mile 22 Movie Plot
Mile 22 movie follows the Overwatch ground and command and control teams as they carry out the most sensitive, covert missions for their country. The movie begins with a raid on a Russian safe house somwwhere in the East Coast of the US as we meet the ground team with Silva as the team leader.
Two, years later the efficient and ruthless team is stationed at the US embassy in a politically hostile and volatile Southeast Asian country, tracking missing radioactive material that can be used to make a dirty bomb and find its way to the US. Silva is frustrated as non of their leads have materialised and there is no trace of the radioactive material.
They catch a break when a local intelligence officer confesses that he has information that could lead them to the material and also halt other planned attacks. His price, a ticket out of the country and refuge in the US.
It is now up to Silva and his team to extract Noor to the Exfil point and ensure his way out of the country. All they need to do is travel 22 miles from the embassy fighting a hostile police, local military, and terrorists who will stop at nothing to capture Noor and get their hands on the vital information.
