Review: 8 Sandpiper Way by Debbie Macomber

8 Sandpiper Way by Debbie Macomber is part of the popular Cedar Cove books. It tells us the story of Pastor Dave and his wife Emily and how they struggle to keep the trust in their relationship. Cedar Cove fans will welcome this latest account of what is new in the lives of some of its prominent citizens.

Cedar Cove is a small town or community near Seattle and its favorite judge Olivia is battling with cancer. Teri Polgar is trying to play Cupid and sister Christie is doing her best to foil her matchmaking efforts. Young Tanni, trying to cope with the grief of losing her father, befriends the most unlikely youngster in town. The Sheriff encounters his old flame but doesn’t want to antagonize his pregnant daughter. The pastor is accused of stealing and infidelity and must clear his name before Christmas. We follow the lives of these people as they face their trials and all is well in the end.

The Cedar Cove books are definitely a ‘feel good’ read. Although the books have their share of heart break and death, the good things outweigh the bad. The books have a happy ending. The author has a fast narrative style which is very easy to follow. But sometimes I wish there were fewer characters in one book giving us a chance to read more about a specific couple or family.

If you are a Cedar Cove fan, don’t miss  8 Sandpiper Way!
