Our justice system works to a large extent as a deterrent. Crimes still happen, but the fear of incarceration keep many in check who have a lot to look forward to in their life. What will happen if we are told that the world is about to in few months or years? When their is no future to look forward to and there is no fear of punishment as everything is going to end. Detective Hicks and Renko unleash a wave of crime when they decide to go public with this damaging truth in Hard Sun TV series on BBC One starting this January. The TV Show will also air on Hulu in the US in March.

It’s a terrifying reality that the British government is urgently trying to suppress. Hicks and Renko find themselves pursued by ruthless Security Service operatives, who are trying to kill them in order to keep secret the truth about the mysterious cosmic event. The pair must use every bit of their ingenuity to protect themselves and those they love.
When the classified dossier is made public the government quickly discredits the story as a hoax and fear largely subsides. But the story never entirely goes away. Hard Sun is still out there – in a thousand online forums, supported by conspiracy theorists and the dispossessed on the fringes of society and the internet. And as the murderers, the abusers, the serial killers, the cult leaders start to come out of the woodwork, it’s up to Hicks and Renko to take them down. But what does justice mean in the face of Armageddon?

Hard Sun TV Series Review
Hard Sun TV Series begins with an aura of mystery and a string of murders and you know the reason behind these murders by the end of the first part. But the real mystery that is more interesting is why DCI Elaine Renko’s son trying to kill her and the home invasion at the beginning.
Although slow to start, the series picks up pace as the protagonists decide to go public about the impending apocalypse. While TV Shows like Salvation and movies like Deep Impact where about how to save humanity, Hard Sun trains its guns on simulation of how people will react to the news of sure end-of-the-world.
Hard Sun gives you enough to bring you back for a couple of more episodes, but pales compared to McMafia and Next of Kin, the other two releases of the month.
