Tubelight movie starring Slamnan Khan has been creating a lot of buzz recently. But any hopes of the movie getting even near the fandom that Bahubali 2 enjoyed, is misplaced. While Salaman Khan is popular, can he win the Tubelight Vs Baahubali 2 Vs Dangal competition is the question of the week. Even comparison with popularity of Dangal is much far away from the reach of the new Salman movie.
To give you an indication, our analysis shows the Baahubali 2 reached the pinnacle of popularity and buzz around April 30 with the highest value of 10 on our popularity index.
The only other movie that came close to Bahubali 2 in the last year was Aamir Khan starrer Dangal that reached its height of popularity during its release scoring 8.5 on our popularity index. However, the new Salaman Khan starrer is lagging far behind these two in its release week. In its release week, Tubelight has managed to reach 1 on the popularity index.
Dangal opened the Box Office with collection of roughly 30 crores on the opening day. Bahubali 2 broke numerous records when it collected 122 crores on its opening day. With this in view, we think Tubelight wouldn’t make more than 10 to 12 crores on its opening day.
However, if you look at Salman Khan’s other popular releases, the movie still seems to struggle and is nowhere near Sultan on our popularity index. Sultan reached close to Bahubali 2 and scored 8 on our popularity index in its release week. At the same time, the other major Salman Khan release, Bajrangi Bhaijaan struggled to go beyond 5. Although a recent poll by movie critic Taran Adarsh indicated that Tubelight will surpass Bajrangi Bhaijaan, we think even that could prove to be a stretch.
Based on these data, we predict Salaman Khan’s movie Tubelight will open the box office with 20 to 25 crores this week. However, the movie may race up the charts based on word of mouth publicity later.
Tubelight Vs Baahubali 2 Vs Dangal Verdict?
So when it comes to Tubelight vs Baahubali 2 Vs Dangal, the Salman Khan starrer could scale Bajrangi Bhaijaan but toppling Dangal and Baahubali 2 looks a bit too far.
