Tenali Rama Serial Story
Tenali Raman (Krishna Bharadwaj) or Tenali Ramkrisha was a court jester an poet in the court of Vijayanagar kingdom ruled by Krishnadevraya (Manav Gohil) in the early 16th century. Born to Ramayya, a priest and Lakshmamma. After losing his father at an early age, he and his mother lived with his uncle. Although he was never schooled, his thirst for knowledge made him learn new things everyday.
It is believed that Tenali Rama worshiped Goddess Kali on an advice from a sage and received blessings from the goddess, who endowed him with wisdom and wit and pronounced that he would one day become a great poet in the court of Vijaynagara. Legend has it that Tenali saved Vijaynagara from Delhi Sultanate with his wit and wisdom.
