A couple of days back we shared with you that the duo Arjun-Parineeti were going to be a part of Dibakar Banerjee’s new project. Now, it is official. The duo impressed everyone with their debut film Ishaqzaade. Five years later, having matured as performers since their raw, intense debuts, Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra will return onscreen for a second time with Dibakar Banerjee’s next film, Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar.
“After Ishaqzaade, Arjun and I used to dream about working with Dibakar one day! His films are so different and always make an impact. I am soo ready to bite my teeth into this character and give the audience something intense!” , says Parineeti Chopra.
Dibaker Banerjee once again delivers a unique and engaging story as he Directs Arun-Parineeti in Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar. The movie puts two very unlikely protagonists together as there is hardly anything common between them. They mistrust each other immensely and can’t stand each other’s company.
Arjun Kapoor said, “It feels great to be back home at YRF working with Adi Sir and Parineeti, my most amazing and first ever co- actor. Dibakar Banerjee is a name synonymous with being the torchbearer of evolving new age cinema that engages and entertains. I can’t wait to work under his tutelage and vision. Sandeep Aau Pinky Faraar is the story of a man and a woman who represent two different Indias. Arjun Kapoor once again flirts with being in danger of doing a similar movie in Half Girlfriend, but may be this will work better. As opposed to the earlier one, this one is supposed to be a dramatic thriller.
“This feels like my first film, again. I’ve had to unlearn everything I know to tell this story about a man and a woman who can’t stand each other but can’t survive without each other.” Says Dibakar Banarjee.
