Sonakshi Sinha plays a troubled young adult in Akira. A habitual troublemaker, she travels to Mumbai for higher studies and opts to live in a hostel. Her tiffs with her college mates make her life miserable, until they find out she is not the one to mess with. Akira Music Review
Rajj Rajj Ke comes in three different versions. Sonakshi Sinha lends her voice to the album with others like Vishal Dadlani and Arijit Singh. The album has contemperory music with shades of Rock music and signature Vishal-Shekhar compositions. The tracks are mostly melodious and slow paced and could make it to your easy listening playlist. However, none of the compositions are truly addictive. Of the different versions of Rajj Rajj Ke, non-remixed version of Nahid Afrin comes off as the best. Arijit Singh sings Purza and you can't miss his singing style in the song. Purza uses only a few instruments and the simplicity of the music highlight the vocals. The song is upbeat and yet the pace is slow enough to suit the lounge music category. You can say the same for Baadal sung by Sunidhi Chauhan. Manoj Muntashir and Kumaar do a decent job of giving poetic lyrics to the songs that have the potential to grow on you. The intro to Baadal doesn't get you hooked immediately, but the rhythm will keep you hooked and listening to the groovy track.
