India has a long history of politicians using religion for short-term benefits and politicians shunning the responsibility in the name of mob violence. 31st October is a story of a Sikh family that must fight against the loyalists of a slain Prime Minister of the country. The film is scheduled to hit cinema theaters on 7th October 2016. The music for 31st October is composed by Vijay Verma and has eight soulful tracks.

31st October Story
Indira Gandhi is assassinated by her body guards on 31st October 1984 and this is when the story of the movie is set. What followed the assassination is an implied collusion of the Congress Party and local police in widespread carnage in which nearly 2000 sikhs lost their lives and many more bore huge loss of property and lifelong scars.
In a matter of hours, Delhi plunges into chaos where one time friends and neighbors turn on each other. The entire sikh community is labeled as traitors by politicians in venomous speeches that turns the masses against their brethren.
Devender Singh (Vir Das) and his family are stuck in this mayhem and seek help to get out of Delhi to a safe location. Their friends Pal, Tilak, and Yogesh decide to come to their aid and help them get out of the entrapment. But their journey to Devender’s home is not easy as they witness massacre after massacre on the bloody streets of Delhi.
