Yeh Hai Lollipop is scheduled to release in November 2016 and is a story of a troubled movie maker planning to make a flop movie foe tax benefit. But based on the trailer, there seems to be a twist in there somewhere. The comedy movie does not have any star actors, but a have many supporting Bollywood veterans who make it a good option. Yeh Hai Lollipop Music Review
In line with the movies story, the album has a couple of peppy songs and a couple of romantic numbers. The soundtrack opens with Life Hai Boring which is mainly about how malls are a great place to spend time. The lyrics are an excuse and the song is forgettable. You wouldn’t go back to this song or wouldn’t play it in any situation – not even in a mall, for sure.
Dil Sulagta Ja Raha Hai is a lot of improvement in terms of both lyrics and music compared to the first one. The romantic number opens with a not so interesting intro and common rhythms that won’t capture your attention. But it fits a lot in the 90s melodious songs and has the potential to grow on you. Anjane Ban Jaate makes an attempt at Rock style composition, but lacks in energy. It ends up being out of tune at times. But not a song that is jarring to your ears and you won’t mind it playing the background.
The last track – Lamha Khushi Ka – in the album is Composed by Rashid Khan and begins with a small Enigma style hymn, but soon falls back to common rhythms. The second romantic number, although melodious, is unlikely to make it your playlist.
