Aurora Teagarden mysteries returns this week as Aurora gets embroiled in a new murder mystery when a very real murder takes place onstage. A Very Foul Play movie on Hallmark Movies and Mysteries takes Aurora and her true crime fans looking for suspects and helping her innocent nephew in the movie this week.

A Very Foul Play Plot
A Very Foul Play movie follows our investigator Aurora as she is pulled into saving her nephew Phillip who is caught holding the murder weapon onstage.
While attending a weekend confab of murder mystery and true crime fans, Aurora and her Real Murders Club pals agree to appear in the stage production of a fun murder mystery.
While onstage during the performance, an unexpected blackout takes place, and when the lights come back up, Aurora’s nephew Phillip (Dylan Sloane) holds a bloody knife while the play’s leading lady lies dying in a pool of blood.
Aurora and her Lawrenceton friends know that Phillip didn’t do it, but given the circumstances, the local police arrest him for the murder. The investigation begins with only one or two possible suspects, but that list soon grows as Aurora and her friends discover more about the deceased, Monica Swanson, and those in the town who might have cause to want her dead.
Before the mystery comes to a close, all assumptions are swept off the table when Aurora returns to the scene of the original crime to look for more evidence. What follows next is a dangerous game of cat and mouse leading from the stage of the theater up into the lighting catwalks, where Aurora is being chased by a heavy candlestick-wielding killer who knows the jig is up, and who now is only intent on killing the woman who has shined the spotlight on their crimes and exposed them for two murders.
