Tubelight Movie Review

Tubelight movie has its heart in the right place, however, nothing in the movie works in its favor. Salman Khan’s performance as a naive, developmentally challenged individual is good. But not good enough to carry an aimless movie on his shoulders alone.

The movie begins with a very textbook style introduction that stretches too long. Nothing changes for almost an hour as the sluggish pace continues and the movie remains focused on reiterating the character of Laxman Bisht.

The movie tries to pack in multiple messages. It tries to highlight the biases in our country against people who are different than the majority or how saying something or not can become a measure of patriotism. The movie, in a way also highlights the plight of families of soldiers who fight on the war fronts. And that is why we say that the movie has its heart in the right place.

However, our Hero is without a mission and this lack of cause and a sluggish pace makes this Salman Khan-Kabir Khan movie tiresome.
