This Close TV Series Reviews
Here’s what the early reviews of the new streaming series say about This Close,
Verne Gay of Newsday says that the series doesn’t work as a Rom-Com in the first six episodes and will take another season to find the right tone and direction. It works best when Kate and Michael are on the screen, but falters when it moves into the world of the hearing.
“Characters’ deafness figures as just one sliver of an effervescent dramedy about friendship, romance, sex and ambition, its sweet but gritty tone inspired by series like Looking, Girls and Transparent.” ~ Joy Press, NewYork Times
