The Trial series on Netflix is an Italian legal thriller that investigates murder of a young girl. There are always personal passions and some for of gains involved in murders. But when you prime suspect is killed after a confession, you begin to doubt the truth about the events.
The Trial Series Plot
‘The Trial’ series follows Elena Guerra as she risks personal relationships and her career at risk to find the real killer.
Set in mantua, the series begins when the police discover a body of a young girl, Angelica, near the river bed. Elena soon realizes that she has a personal connection with the victim. While Elena is trying to save her marriage, the new case brings her back to her professional commitments as she decides to not abandon the case and get to the bottom of the crime.
Claudio is arrested for the crime and Rugerro, a ruthless lawyer known to bend the rules and laws agrees to defend him. But when Claudio suddenly kills himself, Elena becomes sure that it must be his wife, Linda, daughter of a powerful man, who is the real culprit.
Elena discovers that multiple people are one way or other connected to the crime. As the process of prosecution begins, we find these lives hanging in balance, walking on a thin line. Whatever the result, their lives will never be same again.
