The Rev TV Show follows the Hartley family as they each embark on a new chapter in their lives.
There’s never a dull moment in the world of larger-than-life Pastor Richard Hartley. When he isn’t preaching and inspiring his congregation at his Long Island, NY church, he’s dealing with his rambunctious and loving family… all while utilizing his musical skills to make the church’s choir top notch.
Richard is married to his high school sweetheart and first lady of the church, Stacey. When it comes to family, Richard has a unique approach to parenting that sometimes clashes with wife’s, but he always has a master plan for dealing with and raising their kids, Jordan and Judea. Even though his methods may seem unorthodox, he always gets results.
Stacey is the first lady of Haven International Ministries, which comes with its own set of duties and responsibilities within the congregation that she embraces wholeheartedly. Stacey works as a nurse and in her spare time enjoys crocheting.
Having spent years travelling the globe working with incredible choirs and A-list musicians, Richard is now focused on his hometown choir and, with the help of his wife Stacey, trying to get his millennial children, Judea and Jordan, out of the house so that they can build their own dreams.
Richard and Stacey’s 29-year-old son, Jordan is an aspiring musician and drummer in the church’s band. After growing up in the church his entire life, Jordan is in a discovery phase and recently moved back home, where he is often coddled by his mother and sometimes challenges his father’s ways.
Richard and Stacey’s 27-year-old live-in daughter, Judea is the church’s praise and worship leader and head of the youth ministry. With a no nonsense, get it done attitude, she has two master’s degrees, but like her father, she’s a comedian at heart.
Miguel a.k.a. Mickey is Richard’s personal assistant and best friend. Although Miguel often finds himself being the fall-guy for anything that goes awry at the church, in choir rehearsals and during concert performances, he somehow always pulls everything together.
