India’s first Stand-Up comedy reality show is back. And this time we will see none other than our favorite star Akshay Kumar as a judge for ‘The Great Indian Laughter Challenge 2017’. Akshay Kumar announced his part in the show and also called on budding comedians across India to get ready for the auditions.
Akshay Kumar is one of the stars in Bollywood who have not come from a film industry background but yet has reached the pinnacle of stardom. After giving hit movies like Airlift last year, his latest Toilet Ek Prem Katha is eagerly awaited by his fans this year.
In the teaser of The Great Indian Laughter Challenge 2017, Akshay Kumar challenges participants to come up on the stage if they think their comic timing is impeccable and know exactly when to crack a joke.
The Great Indian Laughter Challenge 2017 Auditions
The auditions for the program will end on 10th August 2017 and the participants begin with sharing personal information and then uploading three sample videos to YouTube of Vimeo as the first step. The competition will have multiple levels of elimination.
Level 1 – Eliminated by designated professionals based on the videos that are submitted.
Level 2 – Winners of Level 1 travel to Mumbai for Level 2 auditions and perform in front of the panel.
Level 3 – This where the televised auditions begin. The selected participants will present their act in front of the Judges. Judging based on choice of Act, personality, confidence, overall performance, comedy timing, etc.

Sunil Pal and Raju Srivastav were all the rage during the first season of the show and were remembered for their unique style of delivery and humor. We are excited to see what this new batch of comedians bring to the competition. And with Akshay Kumar as the judge, it won’t be that easy to reach the top of The Great Indian Laughter Challenge 2017.
