The Favorite Son movie follows two brothers as their life takes a turn just when their dreams appear to be within grasp.
Blaine and Camden are the musically talented sons of the Reverend of a megachurch with a huge following. While Camden is the songwriter and the quiet one, Blaine is the charismatic face of the musical group. Their dream is to make it big in the world of music. But their father has other plans for them.
When the two finally convince him to give them a chance to perform a revival for the church, the Reverend agrees and the program is a superhit. Seeing the popularity of his sons, he now wants them there every Sunday. But this popularity also comes with many more opportunities as big labels and musicians flock the brothers.
As Blaine milks the opportunities and becomes the favorite, groupies rush to him and Blaine does not let go any opportunity to have some fun. But one event drives a wedge between the brothers that threatens everything that they have fought for.
Soon, the group struggle to find balance of life, love, faith and religion, while under the strict rule of their father.
