What is the Fox TV Show About?
The Big Leap follows a bunch of down-on-their-luck characters determined to change their life with a reality dance show participation.
Nick Blackburn is divorced and raring to do something unique and radical. With help of dancer Wayne Fontaine, and Chorographer, Monica Sullivan, he starts his new project and dance reality show. The one condition is that the participants must come from different body types as well as those who could rile up emotions.
The diverse group includes, Gabby Lewis, a teen mom who once dreamed of becoming a dancer and got sidelined because of the pregnancy. With her is her former dance partner Justin Calgrove.
The other unusual contestant to join is Reggie Sadler, a football star on the brink of suspension who can give the show the star power and controversy it needs.
Threat to all is Brittney Lowell, a professional ballroom dancer who joins with her dance partner and twin brother.
Along with them we meet many more quirky contestants as they participate in this innovative show-within-a-show that takes viewers on a journey of self-acceptance, body-positivity and empowerment at any age.
