Sick of It TV Series Plot
Sick of It TV series follows Karl and his alter ego. Helping him, or not, is his American aunt Norma, with whom he lives. Things aren’t looking great for Karl. He’s a down-on-his-luck middle-aged cab driver who’s reduced to crashing in his elderly aunt’s spare room after losing his long-term girlfriend. His relationship with Zoe was the only proper one he’s had and now he’s lost her, he’s kind of lost his way in life too. He means well but, no matter how hard he tries, he just can’t quite fit in.
Whether it’s debating about buying a new suit or starting a family, the Voice in His Head is always piping up. While Karl desperately tries to say and do the right thing, his true self is never afraid to say it exactly how it is. He always thinks he knows best and that often puts the two of them at loggerheads.
Karl with his 80-year-old American aunt and they are like chalk and cheese. While Karl’s a worrier, Norma throws herself into anything that comes her way. And she’s keen for Karl to embrace life too. Norma and her late husband
Vinnie didn’t have children so she treats Karl like he’s her own.
They make each other laugh but they also drive each other crazy. Norma’s not as independent as she used to be and
Karl feels like he’s constantly looking after her. Norma, though, would say it was the other way around.
