Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation. This isn’t about anyone on the Axis of Evil. It is the nation of like-minded, trained, super motivated individuals who desire to rise above the political boundaries to correct all wrong.
After a couple of foreign locations, the characters are back in Europe. Tom Cruise has now joined the league of Harrison Ford and Liam Neeson as a distinguished man of certain age fighting the bad guys – but he does that with ease and you hardly notice that he is past his youth.

Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation
Genre: Action, Adventure, Thriller Director: Christopher McQuarrie Stars: Tom Cruise, Rebecca Ferguson, Jeremy Renner
Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation is full of its signature twists and turns. At times its plot and camera angles are so much like the first movie, that you can spot them without exerting.
But I am glad that it is more like the first part than the third, which wasn’t that great. Tense moments and high adrenaline chases will keep you engrossed, however, the fight sequences could have been better. You even see Rebecca Ferguson perform the same stunts and moves in the movie more than twice, which is a bit odd. The movie is also full of cliche dialogues and seems like the writer hasn’t taken any effort to come up with something powerful and new, or perhaps it was supposed to be that way – give the audience to say something like, ‘I know’.
But it is a high octane movie with typical knots and circles within circles that you will love, if Robert Ludlum and Spy movies are your thing. Performances by the usual team members as well as Rebecca Ferguson are flawless.
Go see the Who’s Playing Whom game this weekend as Ethan Hunt promises you that he will out-think you more than once and will keep you entertained for 2 hours.
