Punky Brewster is back on NBC, now much older and picks up the story as an adult. The series is a continuation of the iconic 80s TV Show that followed a teenager. Living in a foster system can be great if you find a good family, but it can be equally traumatizing if you are moved from place to place and are unable to call any one place as your home.

Punky Brewster follows Punky, now a single mother of three trying to get her life back on track.
Punky is in a good place. But she has not forgotten her teenage years in the foster system and the challenges that she once faced. When she meets Izzy, a young girl in foster care, she reminds her of what she was like years ago.
Recently divorced, she still can’t keep her husband out of her life and maybe even wants him in her life. The current situation at home is chaotic at best and she is at her wits end to get things right.
However, this does not stop her from bringing Izzy into her heart and her home as she is determined to give the little girl a true taste of family and a loving home.
