As the summer heats up, crime too is getting more frequent and intense in Hailey Dean Mysteries. In the second feature of the series, A Prescription for Murder movie on Hallmark finds Hailey investigating a murder at the local hospital and prove her detective friend’s fiance from wrong accusations.
A Prescription for Murder Movie Plot
A Prescription for Murder movie follows psychologist and former prosecutor Hailey Dean as she aids her friend Detective Fincher in investigating a rapidly growing string of murders at Atlanta Memorial Hospital.
Atlanta Memorial Hospital CEO Erica Schulman is killed while she’s a patient in her own hospital after someone injects something deadly into her IV line. Fincher’s girlfriend, Dr. Meghan Phillips, had argued with Erica hours before she died, making her the first suspect in the case.
Nurses Brian Martin and Lisa Shunstrom were both on duty when Erica was killed, and both have big secrets to keep. Erica’s star cardiologist Dr. Chang is being sued for malpractice outside the hospital, without any support from Erica. Erica’s assistant Ivy is having an affair with someone at the hospital, and Robert Harms, Chairman of the hospital’s Board of Directors – now interim CEO following Erica’s death – was originally passed over for the CEO post in favor of Erica.
As the list of suspects grows and shifts with each new death, Hailey’s keen investigative skills, her uncanny ability to read people, and her passion for justice lead her through an ever-evolving labyrinth of clues that eventually point to the killer. But when she gets too close to the truth, Hailey becomes the killer’s next target for murder.

Michelle Ricci writes the new mystery based on the character developed by Nancy Grace. Allan Harmon directs the movie with Kellie Martin as a psychologist and amateur detective.
