Photocopy is a story of young and peppy identical twins whose life is going to soon plunge into an emotional abyss as they both fall in love with the same boy, and all three are clueless that the boy is dating both the girls at the same time. But that is not the only problem. The main hiccup is that the boy too is unaware of this fact.

Photocopy Music Review

The album opens with a melodious Oli Maati that reminds you of the monsoon season and a new college term. This mood is continued in Tu Jithe Mi Tithe sung by Neha Rajpal and Swapnil Bandodkar. Pippani is a fun and upbeat dance number but fails to offer anything new and doesn’t really inspire you to stick with the song.

Saang Mana takes a classical tone and begins with a Sitar style intro. Neha Rajpal’s vocals hook you to the song which she sings quite well. The song has a slightly melancholic tone and although good doesn’t have an even rhythm and the percussion at times seem to crowd the vocals.

Mora Piya begins on a classical note and with that kind of intro you get all ready for a good classical-fusion track, but the track suddenly changes track and morphs into Marathi Rock with good guitar interludes. Adarsh Shinde sings the song in the right mood and with the right energy. Some may like the energy and some may not, but it is definitely something fresh coming out of Marathi movie music compositions.

MovieRecipe Verdict: A good album with a mix of romantic song compositions and fresh Rock style composition.

MovieRecipe Picks: Oli Ti Maati, Mann He Bavare, Mora Piya
