Photocopy movie is a Marathi Romantic Comedy that tells a story of identical twins. The movie is scheduled to release on 16th September and one of the few movies set in urban Maharashtra. The movie is directorial debut of Vijay Maurya and is written by Akash Rajpal. Maurya has previously won a national Award for he screenplay of the movie Chillar Party. The music for the film is composed by various artists including Praful Karlekar and Neha Rajpal, who is also the movie producer.

Madhu and Mala are identical twins who are same yet different. They like the same things, but have very different personalities. One is shy and conservative while the other is outgoing and urbane. Where there are twins there is confusion. The two sisters are competitive about everything. But things begin to go south as they fall in love with the same boy, but no one among the three realizes what’s happening.
As the confusion reaches a crescendo, the family members decide to jump in and make things right and put priorities in perspective. Photocopy is an exciting romantic comedy shot extensively in picturesque Lavasa near Pune, in the Western Ghats. Marathi Cinema goers will surely like this young and vibrant comedy.

The first reviews and reactions are in and everyone seems to love what Parna Pethe has achieved in the movie. The audiences are no too enthused about the story of the movie, which is fairly common. However, the pace and screenplay have kept the audiences interested.
The movie does full justice to urban college life that is quite rare to find in Marathi movies these days. Performances by supporting actors are equally impressive and this makes sure that you don’t feel that the situations are contrived. One of the other strong points for the movie songs that go with the flow of the movie and cinematography and beautiful locales of Lavasa.
