Our House book is narrated with two perspectives, one is Fiona telling us her side through a podcast and the other is Bram, her husband, talking to us though a document. Fiona has a troubled marriage, but for the sake of their kids, Fiona and Bram have agreed to adopt the ‘Bird’s Nest’ approach to raising their kids.
But when she returns one day, she finds a new family moving-in in her house. All her things are gone. Her kids are nowhere in sight. Her husband, missing and unreachable. The system that they built painstakingly to protect their children has collapsed.
As events spiral well beyond her control, Fiona will discover just how many lies her husband was weaving and how little they truly knew each other. But Bram’s not the only one with things to hide, and some secrets are best kept to oneself, safe as houses.
