Our Girl Series 4 returns to BBC One this week with Georgie making great progress in her career. Released in 2013, Our Girl was inspired by a strong-headed and rebellious candidate who went on to become one of the best combat medics in the Royal Army medical Corps.
Our Girl Series 4 Plot
‘Our Girl series 4’ brings a positive Georgie who is making leaps in her career, having been promoted to Sergeant, and now training a new bunch of medics.
Happily living back in Manchester with her family, Georgie is insistent to her friends in 2 Section that she’s happily settled in her new job and will not be joining them on their upcoming deployment to Afghanistan, no matter how much they want her to.
However, when a night on the town results in a near-fatal incident, she can’t deny that the painful memories of losing the love of her life, Elvis, to a Taliban attack, is the real reason she doesn’t want to go back.
Georgie realises that she needs to return to Afghanistan to face her own fears.

The series is developed by Tony Ground and season 4 will come with six, hour long episodes. Nico Mirallegro, Amy-Leigh Hickman, Kaine Zajaz and Will Attenborough join the new season that premieres on March 24 2020.

Episode 1
With trainee Mimi’s confidence dipping after some complex training exercises, Georgie is compelled to return to Afghanistan to support the new recruits. In Kabul, she’s pleasantly surprised at how well she copes, and full of promise about how Afghanistan has changed.
Episode 2
Trying to shake off her resurgent grief for Elvis, Georgie leads efforts to support a risky medical outreach program. Worried for the doctor’s safety, Georgie fights for the section to accompany her, butting heads with Sandy and befriending dishy American Dr Antonio along the way.
