Our Christmas Love Song Plot
Our Christmas Love Song movie follows melody as she returns to her hometown during Christmas to prove that her new hit single is not plagiarized.
Country music star Melody Jones debuts her new song “Heart of Christmas” at the Grand Ole Opry and it’s a sure-fire hit. Former Country Music Queen Connie Black and her manager/husband Burt Hooper accuse Melody of plagiarism and demand 50% of the song’s royalties unless Melody can prove she wrote it before Christmas Day.
Melody returns to her small hometown of Madison, Indiana to spend Christmas with her family and hopefully locate the song she knows she wrote with her father back in high school. In Madison, Melody soon runs into Chase Mattson, who was her big love before she left for Nashville.
At all the Christmas activities, Melody and Chase seem to find one another and the love they once shared reappears as if they’d never been apart. Chase and Melody are clearly in love again. But when legendary Country Music star Hunter Hamilton (Stuart Hughes) personally shows up in Madison to invite Melody to be on his special, she is torn between staying in Madison for the Christmas Concert and pursuing a future with Chase and going back to Nashville.
Before leaving Madison, however, Melody has a moment of inspiration, and thinks she might know where her dad might have hidden the original “Heart of Christmas” music.
