Open By Christmas follows Nicky as she goes looking for the secret admirer who wrote an anonymous note in high school.
Nicky is back home and helping her parents move to a new place. While arranging their stuff, she comes across a letter addressed to her. It turns out to be an anonymous note where the anonymous authors confesses their feelings for Nicky.
Meanwhile Simone, a single mother and Nicky’s friend, is grappling with her relationship with a teenage son who she thinks is growing up too fast. Nicky helps Simone adjust to the change and new reality as the two go hunting for the author of the note.
Nicky and Simone help each other find answers to the past and present, all kindled through the special bond that has long made them feel like sisters.
