One Day at a Time Season 2 Plot
One Day at a Time follows three generations of a Cuban-American family as they navigate the us and downs of life in their own way.
A eboot of the iconic Norman Lear’s classic sitcom, it is a humorous and heartfelt comedy that follows three generations of a Cuban-American family tackling the ups and downs of life. A newly-single mother and veteran journeys through the triumphs and tribulations that come with bringing up two strong-willed, mega-millennial children, all the while enlisting the assistance of her old-school mother and her building manager-turned-invaluable confidant.
Through a very 21st Century lens, One Day at a Time gives a glimpse into what life looks like, in good times and bad – and how those around you somehow make it all worthwhile. In the fist season we saw Penelope battling with accepting anxiety and the cultural makeup that denied her help.
One Day at a Time Season 2 continues to focus on that and other similar issues that are a taboo and brushed under the carpet. The family also rallies for Elena, now that she is out in the open, and agrees to take her relationship like any other. Audiences will also see the sitcom talk about the current political climate and raise some sensitive issues.
