I reviewed Never Desire a Duke on this blog earlier. And in this one, we follow the romantic story of Clarissa, the youngest of the Bevington sisters.

Clarissa is perhaps the silliest, being the youngest of the Bevington sisters after Sophia and Daphne. But her mettle will be truly tested in this thrilling Regency romance that has its share of intrigue. Lily Dalton gives us much more than fancy balls and action between the sheets. The suave and mysterious Mr. Kincraig, heir apparent to the Earl of Wolverton is the hero of the story. The Season is almost over, and Mr. KIncraig has been relieved of a cumbersome duty and is happily anticipating newer pastures. Clarissa’s come-out ball is set to be the talk of the ton but things fall apart when her supposed fiance’ dumps her to marry the girl his daddy dearest chooses. Somewhere in the cloud of honor, duty and loyalty, Mr. Kincraig or Dominic Blackmer as his true name is, is roped in to marry Clarissa. And thus their unlikely story begins.
Clarissa travels to Northumberland with Dom to her new home. And she has to fend with much more than her husband’s estranged family. Clarissa and Dom already have tender feelings for one another, and now they have to face an unseen enemy. This book couldn’t be more different than Never Desire a Duke. There is not a lot of fun to be had, but the family theme is pretty strong.
