Never Buried book by Edie Claire introduces Leah Koslow in this mystery book. Never Buried brings us a close cast of characters, people who knew each other in school, are related to each other, or are friends of their parents. Ties span generations, and everyone knows everyone, except the stiff who turned up dead. But for my patience, I would never have read this book. Why?

Never Buried Book Plot
Set in a suburb of the steel city of Pittsburgh, this story started off with some really macabre stuff. But my patience paid off and the story evolved into a page turner that I literally read cover to cover.
Leigh Koslow is down on her luck and living with her pregnant cousin in her newly restored big old house. Their parents and friends all live in a few blocks’ radius. Leigh’s main assignment is to take care of her cousin while her husband is away.
Things start going downhill when an ancient corpse is found in their yard. Someone wants the girls to give up the house! Leigh’s school buddy Maura is on the police force. An elderly neighbor has some thoughts on what secrets their house might harbor. Leigh plunges into the investigation against the advice of all her loved ones. The climax is shocking and unexpected, and will delight any mystery lover.
Never Buried Book Review
The character of Leigh’s man friend from college seems unnecessary, although he might turn into a romantic interest in later books in this series. Pets and animals also feature a lot in Never Buried – the cover photo itself shows a black cat. Almost every woman will be able to identify with Leigh’s relationship with her mother.
This mystery/ adventure is anything but predictable and I will definitely like to read more from this series.
