Lifetime Channel brings a new thriller, Abducted on Prom Night, about mothers and daughters and the burden of raising a young daughter as a single mother.
The movie reminds us that old feuds can often come back and strike you when you expect them the least. The new original follows Shawna, a recently divorced mother who is trying hard to rebuild her life with her young daughter.
With all the sadness in their life, she agrees to late her daughter go out with her friends on the night of Prom. She knows that her daughter is not at her best behavior and the divorce has taken its toll on her life. But she does not want to exacerbate the situation by keeping her away from her friends.
Shawna’s fears turn true when the best day of their high school life turns sour for the kids. The limousine driver they had hired turns out to be someone who has grudge against Karen’s family. He abducts the girls and takes them hostage.
As Shawna tries to figure out who the driver might be, the situation deteriorates further. Now she must summon all her strength and do everything she can to save her daughter.
Karen Cliche plays Shawna McCann with Zoe Belkin as Kimber. Max McGuire directs the movie with story from Richard Pierce.
