Life starring Ryan Reynolds and Jake Gyllenhall is another addition to a monster extraterrestrial movie club. The overall plot of the film is a lot like Alien where a group of scientists and astronauts battle powerful aliens. However, the way you get there is different. Life Movie Plot
The film explores the concept of what will happen if one of our probes find a hostile life form on another planet. A crew on International Space Station gets a sample from one such probe returning from Mars. The harmless single cell organism is named Calvin. But the life form is not as harmless as it appears.
The crew soon realizes that their existence and life of people on Earth is in real danger if the organism in not eliminated quickly. Calvin, however, is much more adaptable and intelligent than the crew had initially anticipated. As the crew get killed one-by-one, it is upto the last surviving couple to ensure that Calvin is killed.

Life movie has received mixed reviews so far from advance viewers and critics. While the plot of the movies is quite similar to many movies from the genre, viewers have liked that it is rooted solidly in science and believable.
