The Last Summer movie follows a group of high school friends as they navigate new relationships, while reexamining others, during their final summer before college.
The group of recent high school graduates navigate their way through their final summer before taking off for college. As the youths wrestle with love lost and found, form friendships in unexpected circumstances, and take greater control in their relationships with parents, they ultimately decide who they will be and what they will do as they stand on the precipice of adulthood.
The Last Summer Review
The Last Summer captures the time in your life when everything is exciting and scary at the same time. Some of us want the old chapter in our life to close, some are trying to tick all the check boxes if must-do high school stuff, and some are grabbing at the last chance to date that girl or boy they always wanted to. Performances by the actors keep this movie going and you will find little fault with that. However, the movie lacks any story or solid plot and the snapshot becomes a bit dull as you are not really invested in any of the characters’ stories. Overall, it is not a bad movie, but I wouldn’t hold my breath to watch this one.
