Adjusting a new life in a new place is challenging. But adjusting and accepting a new mom when you are nearly an adult is much more challenging.
What is the Lifetime Movie About?
Fear the Cheer follows high school junior Riley as she tires to find a place in the cheer leading squad at a new school.
Riley has accepted her new step mom and made peace with it. But she is not too happy to move to a new place. Her father thinks it might be a good thing to start their new life at a new location and so they move.
Riley is determined to make new friends quickly and decides to join the Cheer leading squad to forge new friendships. There are many new girls lining up for just two spots on the squad and the competition is tough.
However, when some girls face expulsion while some injure themselves under mysterious circumstances, Riley gets worried. After thinking it through she begins to suspect that her stepmom may have something to do with it.
Is going overboard to help her step daughter a good thing for Riley? Or is it a precursor to something more dangerous?
