Justice Served series on Netflix is a new South African original that follows a hostage situation that unravels during a trial.
What is the Series About?
The series follows band of freedom fighters who invade the trial of a white police officer who shot a Black man – and a hostage situation unfolds on screens nationwide. But freedom fighter and military veteran Azania Maqoma who styles himself as an arbiter of justice while driving secret agendas to settle scores with old foes.
Soon South Africans are called on to decide the fate of the man, Allan Harve, accused of killing a young black man. The public has a few hours to vote for his execution or exoneration.
Meanwhile, tension and conflict simmer on the streets and threaten to divide the country, families and friends.
The series explores the tenets of the Constitution that promises an accused a fair trial and presumption of innocence in the backdrop of a deeply unjust society, corrupt government and a disillusioned nation.

Hlomla Dandala plays Azania Maqoma with Motshabi Tyelele, Jack Devnarain, Lerato Mvelase and Pallance Dladla. Tshepo ‘Ty’ Skosana develops the series.
