Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon was first released in 2011 and made Barun Sobti and Sanaya Irani a household name. Now the serial is back after a gap of couple of year as Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon 3. However, we are told that there are no similarities between the first season and the upcoming new serial. Now this could be one of the reasons Sanaya Irani was not asked to revive her role in the new Star Plus serial.

Although the channel has, for some reason, decided to reuse the title of the serial, the name of the character is not same in the new installment. Arnav Singh Raizada is now Advay Singh Raizada and plays a negative role int the new show.
